Learning Log January 20th1. I learned about the Boston Massacre. I learned that an angry group of Boston civilians attacked the British soldiers, so in result the British fired at them, which resulted in 6 deaths. 2. I learned how to make quesadillas! The yummy, cheesy dish was always one of my favorites, but now I know how to make it! 3. I learned that the 7th grade girls' biggest rival (St. Ben's) is no longer undefeated, so we stand a chance at beating them tomorrow! GO EAGLES!!!
January 27th 1. I learned that AT&T U-Verse (our new TV Company) doesn't have Law & Order SVU on On Demand! Wah :(
2. I learned how to find the least common multiple of a set of numbers in math. At first it was hard, but now I understand! 3. I learned that when you take Pepto-Bismal, a common side-effect is for your tongue to turn black! You can't imagine my alarm when I was brushing my teeth and saw that my tongue was black. EW!
February 3rd1. I learned that you shouldn't be overly confident in yourself, or your team because everyone makes mistakes. Also, you can't always win, but you can try your hardest! 2. I learned how to write fractions with exponents. 3. I learned how to make homemade pizza! We made the dough and sauce, sprinkled cheese on it, and some red and yellow peppers. It was soooo good! February 10, 20131. I learned about the Battle of Ticonderoga in Social Studies. 2. I learned about all the different clauses in English. 3. I learned how to roll yarn into a ball! February 17, 20131. I learned about the "3 Stooges" of the Revolutionary War, who pretty much lost the battle for the British. 2. I learned how to use my dad's washer and dryer. And spilled a lot of soap. Oops :) 3. I learned how to Dutch Braid hair! It's like braiding regularly, but you do it underhand! March 10th1. I learned how to find the surface area of the Earth. First you multiply 4 by Pi (3.14), and you'll get 12.56, which you should round to 13. Then, you multiply the Earth's radius (6,370, or something like that) to the 2nd power (6,370^2) and then multiply that number by 13. To make your life easier, you can multiply 6,370 by 10 (63,700) and then that number by 3. And then you get 1 billion something! 2. I learned how to make a sock bun! You pull your hair into a ponytail at the top of your head, first. Then you cut off the foot part of a sock, and use the long part that goes over your ankle and roll it into what looks like a doughnut. Then you slide it through the ponytail. Next, you cover the sock with your hair and put another ponytail over it to hold it in place. Then you just use a lot of hair spray to keep it in form! 3. I learned how to say all the colors in French. For example, rose is pink in French. That's my favorite color! March 17, 20131. I learned how to count to 100 in French! It's not as hard as I thought! 2. I learned how to diagram sentences- it's kind of confusing, but I'm getting the hang of it! 3. I learned the capitals of many countries in Africa in social studies! Now I just have to memorize them! March 24, 20131. I learned how to multiply fractions! 2. I learned how to divide fractions! 3. I learned how to change ink cartridges in our printer at my mom's! It's actually really easy!!
April 14, 20131. I learned that my half birthday, my name day (Greek Birthday after the saint you were named after), and the date this was due are all on the same day!
2. I started to learn how to use an iPhone 5! It is amazing!
3. I learned how to divide fractions with unlike denominators. It's pretty confusing but easy at the same time. April 21, 20131. I learned how to clear fractions in math!2.
